Originally released on Misra on May 9, 2006, the album was re-released in a remastered expanded edition by Matador on April 10, 2007. All songs written by Jonathan Meiburg except as indicated.
Track listing: "La Dame et la Licorne," "Red Sea, Black Sea," "White Waves," "Palo Santo," "Seventy-four, Seventy-five," Nobody," "Sing Little Birdie," "Johnny Viola," "Failed Queen," "Hail, Mary," "Going is Song." On the Matador edition, the tracks "La Dame et la Licorne," "Red Sea, Black Sea," "Seventy-four, Seventy-five," "Johnny Viola" and "Hail, Mary," were re-recorded. It contains a second disk including "My Only Boy," "Every Hook, Every Eye," "Special Rider Blues" (Skip James cover), "Sing, Little Birdie (demo)," Palo Santo (demo)," "Discontinuities," "Red Sea, Black Sea (demo)," and "Failed Queen (demo.)" The band: Kimberly Burke, Howard Draper, Thor Harris, Jonathan Meiburg, Will Sheff. Album facts: The songs are loosely themed around the life of Nico. "Palo Santo" literally means "holy wood" and refers to Bursera Graveolens. "Red Sea, Black Sea," was originally titled "Turn Your Transmitters Off," and appears as such on Bursera Graveolens. The Snow Leopard is the title of a book by Peter Matthiessen.
